Pet Boarding for a Fun and Safe Home Away from Home

Leaving your pet behind can be difficult, but choosing pet boarding connected to a veterinary hospital provides an added level of comfort, trust, and peace of mind. At Wachusett Animal Hospital and Pet Retreat, we combine a safe, comfortable boarding environment with attentive care from a team that understands your pet’s health and individual needs.

Throughout your pet’s stay, our trained staff will monitor their appetite, behavior, comfort, and overall well-being. We can administer routine medications, if needed, and recognize subtle changes that may indicate a developing health concern. If an illness or emergency arises, our onsite veterinary team is available to assess the situation and provide prompt medical attention.

Whether your pet is staying for a single night or an extended visit, you can travel with confidence knowing they are receiving thoughtful care in a facility equipped to support both their comfort and health.

  • Boarding Accommodations & Rates

At Wachusett Animal Hospital, we offer complete general pet boarding services and overnight cat and dog boarding at our animal hospital from the Fitchburg area and across Central Massachusetts. Our caring vets and staff will take care of your pets like they are their own. This gives your furry friend a special home away from home while you are out of town.

We also want to help put your mind at ease because we know it can be stressful to leave your pet alone, especially if they are sick or recovering from a surgery/procedure. Because of this, we also have medical cat and dog boarding services for pets with conditions other boarding centers might not be able to accommodate.

  • Dog Accommodations

    Dog Boarding

Every morning, the dogs venture outside for fresh air and a run before breakfast. Based on their physical capacity and comfort level, all dogs staying with us are given scheduled outdoor time in our secure, fenced-in yard. Your dog will be supervised throughout their stay, both during their outdoor time and while they rest. In the evenings, we serve dinner and then provide one last supervised outing in the yard before bedtime.
